I come with several years of experience in the many facets of the industry and you’re sure to find a few valuable nuggets of help and information here within the pages of this site.
Not only do I help assist those here in Toledo, Ohio where I reside with my fiancé (with me in picture) and our two awesome dogs and a cool saltwater aquarium, but I also help those remotely in other states as well.
Aside from my passion for health and fitness, I am a certified scuba diver and always look forward to vacations to unique locations where I can jump in and explore more of the underwater world. More than 70% of the Earth is under water! I’m a former wrestler and I still enjoy playing pick up basketball and rocking out to 80’s hair metal.
My personal training certification is through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I have held this respectfully since 2003. I am also a registered Weight Management Specialist with ACE as well.
Like all ACE Certified Professionals, I am required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education and possess a current CPR/AED certification every 2 years.
My Niche/Specialty as a Trainer & Consultant
My niche or specialty as a wellness consultant and fitness trainer lie mostly in helping middle aged men who have reached a breaking point with their health and wellness status and are ready for change. I provide professional guidance to learn the right ways to incorporate exercise and live a healthy lifestyle while getting a fundamental understanding of it all and how these are correlated with hormones, what we eat and more.
In short, I excel in helping people lose unwanted fat and building their body to healthy and strong standards. If this is what you’re seeking in a consultant/coach/trainer, you’ve come to the right place.
Many Americans find themselves in a bit of mid-life crisis if you will, when they realize major health concerns and ailments are looming around the corner if they don’t correct their bad habits they have developed & have been stuck in for the last decade or two. If this describes you, you’re maybe asking:
- But where do I start?
- What is the right way to eat?
- What’s the most effective way to work out?
- Do hormones matter?
- How do I decipher all the conflicting information in the media and advertisements?
Some simply reach a point when they’re done with being sick and tired and looking like it too! The desire to look good naked, have more confidence and get back that “mojo” we had in our younger years is a goal that many have when seeking me out.
I help my clients avoid mistakes, frustrations and wasted time. I educate on how to do things in the most effective way for the best results, suitable for clients to succeed and achieve their goals.
What I am not
I do not have an interest in nor excel in, sport conditioning training, CrossFit, group training or boot camps, golf or those with extremely debilitating physical conditions (where a physical therapist would be suitable). Although I have worked with these populations through the years, it is not my preference to spend my energies here any longer.
