About Me

I help those in their 40’s and 50’s add ten years to their life.

You probably know a person or two who’s lost their edge – low energy, weight gain, poor sleep or maybe not feeling like themselves anymore. Those struggling here are often overwhelmed with conflicting advice on workouts, diets, supplements, hormones – and don’t know where to start.

What I do is help untangle all that.

I help my fellow neighbors like you here, in and around Toledo, Ohio create a clear plan for how to train, eat, and optimize hormones so you can restore your health, confidence, and vitality – without wasting time or money on what doesn’t work.

Since 2001, I’ve been working in the many facets of fitness, supplement, HRT/peptide and wellness spaces.  I personally coach clients through their health and fitness journeys, truly understanding their struggles, and providing effective solutions that resonate far beyond a screen or social media persona.

I have a professional outfitted gym located on Executive Parkway in Toledo (Westgate – near Costco) where I coach clients in private and scheduled one on one workout sessions every day. I do this to give 110% of my full attention to each person I work with and without the distractions of a public space.

Gym training sessions with me often go beyond just a great workout; we discuss and address your goals, questions and challenges around nutrition, hormones, peptides, supplements or overall health and wellness – often in between 60-90 second rests between sets of exercises – or for the 10 minutes before or after our one-hour sessions.

Not only do you learn proper movement patterns, injury prevention and how to improve muscle strength and balance but we will learn about the other areas of health and wellness that play along with improving your strength as it all applies to health span and looking and feeling your best.

In addition to providing services as an ACE certified personal fitness trainer since 2003, I also work as a certified health coach having consulted with thousands of men since 2011  helping to guide them with their doctor supervised hormone replacement therapy (HRT), peptide and wellness programs.

Working in the hormone optimization space for the last 14 years, I provide both the prescribing doctor and patient an extended “white glove service” outside of clinic walls helping clients nationwide tie in and lay down the many different moving pieces to their unique fitness and wellness puzzle, helping to create a more clear picture of optimal, long term health. 

Not only do I help assist those here in Toledo, Ohio where I reside with my wife Marcy Bowman (with me in picture) and our awesome dog but I also help those remotely in other states as well.

Aside from my passion for health and fitness, I am a certified scuba diver and always look forward to exploring new territory with my wife a couple times a year.

I was a very competitive wrestler for 12 years many moons ago and I still enjoy playing basketball, skating, hiking and live music.

Certifications & Accreditations

My personal training certification is through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I have held this respectfully since 2003. I am also a certified health coach and registered Weight Management Specialist with ACE as well.

Like all ACE Certified Professionals, I am required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education and possess a current CPR/AED certification every 2 years.

My Niche/Specialty as a Fitness Trainer & Consultant

My niche or specialty as a wellness consultant and fitness trainer lie mostly in helping middle aged folks who have reached a breaking point with their health and wellness status and are ready for change.

I provide professional guidance to help you learn the right ways to incorporate exercise and live a healthy lifestyle while getting a fundamental understanding of it all and how these are correlated with your hormones, what you eat and more.

In short, I excel in helping people lose unwanted fat, improve their strength and build muscle and their body to healthier and strong standards. If this is what you’re seeking in a consultant, coach and/or trainer, you’ve come to the right place.

Many that come to me find themselves in a bit of mid-life crisis if you will, when they realize major health concerns and ailments are looming around the corner if they don’t correct their bad habits they have developed & have been stuck in for the last decade or two.

Some simply reach a point when they’re done with being sick and tired and looking like it too! The desire to look good naked, have more confidence and get back that “mojo” we had in our younger years is a goal that many have when seeking me out.

I will help you avoid mistakes, frustrations and wasted time. 

What I am not

I do not have an interest in nor excel in; power lifting, Cross Fit, group training or boot camps or those with extremely debilitating physical conditions (where a physical therapist would be most suitable).

Although I have worked with these populations through the years, it is not my preference to spend my energies here any longer and truth be told, there are other coaches much more suitable here over me if any of these are your interests.
